When you come to college, you expect the crazy times, like the parties and the really crazy late nights, but what you don't expect is how the people you meet in your dorms, is kind of like your family in a way. See when we got her the people around me was pretty cool and we just clicked form the get go, everyone helps each other out and when we go to parties we all go together and hang out, I didn't really expect that and I am glad that i got to know some of the people I got to know in my Philips hall but we all call it Philly. Everyone is always willing to help out with anything, and everyone likes hanging out with each other, it makes it easier to find friend s to because their friend 's becomes your friend's and your friend becomes their friends. To some people this may work out well because someone maybe able to help you with homework, or a project, while another person can tell you where all the hot spots are at and then you just got the people that are just wanting to chill with you and all of those people we have in our hall, which makes it a lot easier to get along with..

Roman Noodles

Roman noodles should be a college student best friend... That is what I have been eating for the past week and a half. It is that time of the year where everyone is out of aladine and is eating all the food that they didnt want to eat before. If I eat one more roman noodle pack thing I will seriously flip out it was that bad because it was all I had three big cases of it and now more than ever it is needed. Its snot that bad but when you eat it for breakfast, lunch,snack, and dinner then thats when it becomes a problem. I swear that i have no taste buds no, so words to students next year save some good food snacks for final week.

Favorite Place...

If I had to pick a favorite place of mine it would be, Opelousas, LA just because It is down south and the people down their are so friendly. I think for me it was the cooking and the feeling like home feeling I get when ever I go back to visit from time to time. I think people from the south are so laid back and willing to help you in any way. A lot of people wouldn't understand because they see bad things on the TV about it but it isn't that bad as it seems people down there are just about having a good time and just living life. That is what I am about too..

People these days.....

People these days is probably one of my favorites things to say because someone always does something that really just amazes me. Like I have this friend and he is a really cool guy but he is so damn stingy. You would think that one day he would see that in himself but he doesn't. He walks around here thinking that every one has to tend to him and go by his time. This is his favorite line when you ask him to take you some where and he will say this 9 times out of 10...." Would you do it for me?" and right before you could answer he says "NO!". When really everyone that ask him has done something for him. He is always looking out for himself and he talks to people like they are nothing to him. I'm telling you if he wasn't my friend I would have already went off, but I keep my cool because I know someone else will..

Finals!!!Part 2

Finals week should be a TV show. If you could see some of the freshman pulling all nighters and having hardcore meltdowns. Finals week is the toughest week I probably ever have in my life because it is so time consuming, and you really have to buckle down. I think that as freshman we were not prepared for this, yes we here people talking about it all the time but you really don't know until you actually go through it and it isn't nothing pretty. I would have to say that the hardest one would have been my writing final because the portfolio was due that day and that wasn't easy it self. I think next semester that people will be more prepared and ready because we know what is going to be expected.

About Me

My name is Craig Goodwin, I was named after me dad who id Craig Burnes. I was born in Los Angeles, California but was raised in Opelousas, Louisiana. I moved in St.Joseph, Mo in 2003. I like to play basketball, football, and video games. Those are my favorite hobbies as well. I would describe myself as a loving person. I am energetic and I consider myself a reliable person. I do have days where I may forget about things because I do forget about a lot of stuff, that’s one of my bad habits. My role models are my Mother Ramona Allen and my Father Craig Burnes. They have made a big impact in my life because they taught me everything I know and when no one else was there for me I knew they was and they wasn’t going to leave me. My goals are to graduate from Northwest with a Psychology and Physical Ed. Degree and a minor in coaching. I would like to be a school consular. I would like to steer kids in the right direction and hopefully make them see that there is more to life than what some people put it as. I also want to be a basketball coach because I love the game of basketball and how far it can take you. My favorite rappers are Lil Wayne, Kayne West, Jay-Z, and Ludacris. I love listening to them no matter what, whether I’m in a good mood, bad mood, party mood, it doesn’t matter. My favorite movies are John Q, Roads of Glory, and Forrest Gump. My favorite basketball team in the pros is the Los Angeles Lakers and my favorite player is Kobe Bryant. My favorite food is gumbo, and red beans and rice. That’s really everything general about me, hope you got to know me a little bit better than before.

ME, MYSELF & I

When I was young I always thought I had to have friends, and I always thought that since they said that they were my friends that they would never do anything to harm me or do anything behind my back. My mom always told me that I didnt need anyone but GOD, it didnt hit me till high school freshman year. I always gave respect to people because I would want someone to give me some respect and it was just how I was raise. Freshman year I went to a high school where I didnt know many people because I wanted to go clear across town away from my middle school friends to play basketball, I had to make new friends again which isnt a problem from me, but the people that I pick just didnt have the same morales that I had. I have a had friends that talk behind my back or even paln attacks to jump me for some childish stuff. I even had a friend and a girlfriend mess around behind my back. Im not going to lie I have tough skin but that hit me really hard as a person that dont do anything to anybody. After that incident I rememeber what my mom said and finally stuck with that. I now watch people like a hawk in the sky. I always have a doubt when people say anything like "I promise or I swear" those words meant alot to me when people said that because I always felt that was words that you never say when you was lying, the friends that I keep in my inner circle now I know that they will be there for me and wont do things behind my back.
